Curb Appeal
When
preparing your house for the marketplace, there are many items to
consider. Equally as important to the interior flow/floor plan is the
exterior of the property. Curb appeal is a major player in the overall
presentation of a home and it can make the difference between having a
house sell or not. Examine the yard. Does it need a spring clean up?
Properties that have been through our local winter have debris of all
sorts in the yard. How about those trees and bushes? Are they growing
over the sidewalk or covering too much window giving a jungle effect?
Examine the concrete work. Is it safe and in good condition? After the
cold weather, the concrete will tend to shift and may require repair. Is
the siding in need of a power wash or might this be the year to stain
the cedar? Remember, a well-kept and tidy look is always best. Finally,
spruce up the exterior with two or three well placed pots of flowers to
give that “Welcome Home” feeling.
