The House That Says
"Welcome Home"
Putting your house up for sale is quite a task. There are so many items
to think about. However, what will attract and bring the buyers to your
house? Today’s buyers begin their search on the Internet—77% according
to the National Association of Realtors, “Profile of Home Buyers and
Sellers.” So how will the photograph of your house look when consumers
are searching online? Great curb appeal is vital in today’s market.”
Your landscaping is what buyers will see first. Of course the grass
should cut and the bushes neatly trimmed. Flower beds should be weeded
and not overdone. Toys should be stored in the shed. If you are thinking
of doing some extra planting to give a feeling of tranquility and
welcome, focus on planting trees. Trees offer shade, are ecologically
sound and add to the aesthetics of a property like no other. When
selecting trees for the front yard, avoid placing large evergreens or
broad-leaf deciduous trees near the center of the property. As these
trees mature, they will block out the front of the home. Instead, choose
small-leaf trees so the sunlight can pass around the leaves and
compliment the house. Paint a picture in the minds of the buyers that
says, “welcome home.”
